Autumn Leaves Run On Sunday morning I trundled over the fog-bound Wolds to join the BTSC Autumn run. To say I was impressed with the welcome, organisation and general freindliness of all present would be an understatement. This was a run reminiscant of the early VMCC Wolds Runs when Jim and Liz planned them, indeed it shared some of the route and the comfort break at the water mill. I had a wonderful day out in the company of a selection of bikes (and riders) of all types, sizes and ages that has restored my faith in our hobby/passion. VMCC eat your heart out! I look forward to joining more of these runs, maybe even risking the 100+ miles (home and back) on my 98 Excelsior instead of the Bullet. Congratulations and thanks to Robert and Maureen for a super day (and astounding buffet tea) and all the best to Robert for the next few months. Regards, FPT

Autumn Leaves. Sounds like you had a great day out. Glad you enjoyed it.
I spent the morning fitting front crash bars, a straight rear brake rod and an iridium plug on my Electra X.
Had a great ride after, but it would have been nice to join in a run.
I've just got off the phone to Jim. It looks like my sprag clutch has gone again. Jim said I should check the battery voltage without and with load, 'cos that could stop the starter motor spinning hard enough. I'll have my coffee and then go out and check.
My son just asked me to explain why I got a RE and not a Honda as I've had recurring problems, especially with clutch cables, since I got the Electra. I just said that a Honda isn't a RE ;-))
