Back at work Hi All, We are now back at work and Christmas seems ages ago. The phone has started ringing for bike sales so the bad cold snap we are having does not seem to put people off, My demonstrator Electra has done quite a few miles this week, even in the snow.
I am looking forward to the year ahead and hope to get some more riding in, i seem to say that every year and mean it at the time but things seem to get in the way. The Lincolnshire section of the Royal Enfield owners club will be setting thier calendar for the year soon so i will keep you infomed of the events listed.
Recently i went to watch the pre 65 trials at Cadwell and was quite taken with it. I would like to have a go but not got any clue about how to set up a trials bike. I know they need to be low geared and light but is that all they need to be? Can anyone enlighten me to the dark art of trials bike building. I would like to build an Enfield trials and have been told the best way is to put a 350 engine and gearbox into a Crusader frame, is this right, has anyone got an old frame with or without a log book.

Trials Bike Hello Jim,
I've just read your last post ,and conserning set up for trials bike, Bob Sleigh at the club is your man,he still has a trials bike from his competative days.
If you give him a buzz i'm sure he will put you right, but please remember he is under going a lot treatment at mo.
Vince at the club is looking for a donor bike too, to turn into a trials bike also, so if you have a chat with him two heads are better than one!
Regards Newy :)
