Oh, oh.
Can I come and play?
Am off to York tomorrw (5th May) to pick up my new purchase. A 535 Lightning.
Am then hoping to drop it off with Jim to look it over during the week to hopefully pronounce it fit for the road, so the 13th would be the ideal time for me to meet some of my fellow Bullet owners.
Where am you all meeting? And what time?

Great, will see you all there then.
Have successfully delivered the 535 to Jim for him to cheack the old girl over. When I took my Flea-bay purchase for a -*test*-('") run I found that the clutch was slipping so that was one more job to add to the list along with the unknown worn out cables, removal of the emmision control and fittment of a + 1 tooth front sprocket. Only intended him to give it a service. But I'll feel happier with all that work done, bit of a bugger though cos I've just read in the Gun that there's a 500 classic for sale in Skeg  that would have saved me a trip to York and having to get up at 5.30 on a Saturday morning
Never mind, deal is done and I have the basis for modifying into a Bullet with my own stamp on it. Been busy looking to see how much to spend at Hitchcocks

Meet at Jim's Planning to be there. Maybe I'll see another RE :-))

Well, I was going to come along on the Lightning, but the Lightning seems to have had other ideas. Picked it up from Jim this morning after a pre season service and having unloaded it off the bike trailer and doing a few jobs decided I would like to go for a run into Lincoln to get a feel for it. But while traveling along the B1188 between Branston and Lincoln at around 50 to 60 the rear tyre decided it would be a jolly good weeze to see what my riding skils were like and induce a sudden and rapid deflation.
So I will be coming along to show my face, but in the car. By the time the AA got me home it was too late to try and get into town and get a new tube and rim tape.
See you all tomorrow.

Ride to Jim's Sorry I can't remember all the names, but TNX to all I met today. I thoroughly enjoyed the chat and I learned a lot.
The ride home was WET. Glad I brought my 40 year old Belstaff waxed over trousers.
I'm about to look for Middletons to look for the exhaust/ silencer clamp that clamps all the way round to stop the popping on the over-run.
TNX to Jim and the ladies for the coffee, the welcome and for being there today.

Rideout Hi all,

Tuesday meet I won't be at Tues. meeting. I got a journey plan from AA on th internet and I reckon 55 miles is a bit too far for me, especially at night coming home in the rotten weather forecasted and the fact I'm at work early on Weds. am.
TNX for the invite, though.
While I was on the AA site, I looked for a route to Sherburn in Elmet. That's only 40 miles! Haven't been there on my own bike for about 30 years. Last time was about 10 years ago as piliion. That'll be a ride for me, perhaps, this Wednesday, weather permitting.

Well, we're up and running again. New tube and rim tape has been fitted but I'm at a loss as to why the damn thing went down in the first place. There was a rim tape in there, the only sign of damage to the tube was the fact that the valve had been torn from the tube, but I assume that happened while I was slowing down.
Never the less, new Avon Roadriders have been purchased and will be delivered on Monday, so will have to take the back wheel out again and also the front this time too. New innertube and rim tape going in there also.
Hope to see you all soon.

Newys outfit Glad to hear you got it sorted . You never quite know with Enfields, they seem to have moods, one moment they are ok ,the next their grumpy. But most of the time they just keep going, unless its mine.
I hope it goes ok for the weekend.
